Formal Ball & Cotillion

Starts January 26, 2017! Ballroom Dance for Teens - Dr Susan Quiring

This event is for all teens and pre-teens (ages 10–19 years). Whether you have previously attended Cotillion, Etiquette, or Dance Camp or you are brand new to any of Dr Susan’s youth programs, you are invited!
Dress for the Ball: Semi-Formal or Formal (Gentlemen: dark suit or sportcoat, white shirt & tie; Ladies: long gown or party dress).

4 weeks of Dance and Etiquette Lessons will be held on Thursdays, January  26, February 2, 9, 16  from 4:15-6:00pm.  Along with the dance lessons will be a review of basic common courtesies and dining etiquette. Formal Ball is Friday, February 17, 2017.

Two Price Options Available:
Total Package (Dance/Etiquette Lessons & Formal Ball)    $140.00

Formal Ball only                                                        $ 65.00

4 Week Dance Class for Pre-Teen and Teen

-Ballroom Dance level 2 for Teens/Tweens will start Monday, April 11. Have fun, gain confidence, and learn more of Swing, Cha Cha, Waltz,  Foxtrot and Tango. 

Ballroom Dance Level 3 Intermediate  June 2-30 (for those who have had several 4-week classes.  Can dance 7 or more steps in waltz, foxtrot, swing, tango  and cha cha)  Time:  4:30-5:50pm

Ballroom Dance Level 4 Advanced June 2-30 (can smoothly dance all intermediate level steps in waltz, foxtrot, swing, cha cha, and tango).  Time: 3:00-4:20pm.

Location:  Studio, 10 Vista Lane, 1.5 miles east of Post Oak Mall



Etiquette and Dance Camp is a dining, etiquette and dance course that teaches essential social skills for young people.  Sessions cover everything from basic manners and dining etiquette to cell phone courtesy and job skills.  Students learn popular ballroom and swing dance skills.  CLASS ACT Etiquette Camp will help your child build character, confidence, and courtesy.

Class meets Monday through Thursday
Final evening banquet and dance Thursday evening, 6:30-10:00pm  (older class only)

12:45-2:15pm  6-10 year olds, $90 ($95 after June 3)

2:30-4:30 pm  11-18 year olds, $160  ($170 after June 3)

Learn two step and polka so you are ready for those country western dances!  Young people who learn to dance are confident!  Popular!  And definitely have more fun when they go to dances.

Childrens Ballroom Dance - Dr. Susan QuiringChildren’s Dance Camp

Requires a group of 6 or more children, aged 6–10, who want to learn to move to music fun mixers, and learn some basic movements in dance. Offered by request.  Cost: $50.00
